Unboxing: Civil Defense Helmet

Langley is back to unbox a Civil Defense era police helmet. You never know when they might drop the "big one" and it's good to be prepared!

Unboxing: Kid Icarus: Uprising

Perhaps one of Nintendo's most loved and least updated franchises is back after more than 20 years off the shelves. And now it's in 3-D.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is one of the most anticipated 3DS games this year. And guess what? It's packed inside a box!  That's a good indication that there's more to this little video game than a mere cartridge. Things like special edition AR cards and a 3DS stand. But we'll see that when we unpack it. Here's a look at what's inside.

Unboxing: Family Guy Total World Domination Collection

We were a bit hesitant to bring this classic It's Unboxed episode to light, but it nonetheless remains among the top performing unboxing videos we filmed. You'll see our mistake as we discuss the product we unbox.

Here's the gist of it:

Watch as It's Unboxed uncovers "Family Guy: The Total World Domination Collection," a boxed-set exclusive from Amazon.com. Contained within this life-sized (football-sized?) Stewie Griffin head are 22 DVDs, including the first seven seasons of "Family Guy," "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story," and "Blue Harvest."

Unboxing: Roku LT

It's the first new episode of It's Unboxed in about two years!

And my, how things have changed.

Back in the day, Matt had to buy DVDs in order to watch movies at home. Physical media! But now, it's all about movies served up over the Internet by the likes of Netflix Instant, Amazon Prime and Hulu Plus. So to catch up with the times, we got our hands on a Roku LT.

What, you ask, goes into the packaging of a $50 streaming media player? Watch and find out.

Unboxing: Land's End Shoes

After destroying another pair of shoes in the Denver snow, Matt decides to buy some cheap, rugged all-weather slip ons from Land's End. Let's see if what's inside this box is utilitarian enough to make it through a Colorado winter.

Remarkably, those cheap shoes have lasted since this original unboxing video was recorded three years ago. They might not be pretty, but who wants to mess up nice shoes in slushy snow anyway?

Unboxing: Pots and Pans

In this classic episode of It's Unboxed, Langley is forced to compete with the sounds of a dump truck to get his message across. What is the message, you ask? The message is that he has something he'd like to remove from its packaging.

That is, ignore the background noise and enjoy this look at a box full of brand new pots and pans.

Unboxing: Invisible Read Lamp

Sometimes things get lost. And sometimes you need a light to find them. Ideally, this "Invisible Read Lamp" from the local Asian market would help you find those lost items. Let's see how it works.

Unboxing: Star Trek Trading Figure

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. . .

Oh. Wait a second. Wrong sci-fi.

Regardless, this unboxing video is another blast from the past, as Langley takes a look at a mysterious toy from the Star Trek universe. What could it be? Kirk? Spock? The Enterprise? KHAAAAN!?!?!?

There is only one way to find out.

Unboxing: Euro Pro Deep Fryer

In honor of the Queen of Southern Cuisine (or is that the Queen of Deep-Fried Cuisine?), the peerless Ms. Paula Deen, who recently came out with the unfortunate news that she, like many Americans suffers Type 2 diabetes, we here at It's Unboxed have reached into our most recent archives for this gem of a crispy unboxing video. Because if it ain't fried, it ain't right. Or something like that.

For the sake of all foods greasy, the It's Unboxed brain trust made a decision. That decision was to buy a deep fryer and see what it can do. But before we could deep fry everything, obviously, we have to unbox everything. That brings us back to the above video.

What you're witnessing here is the unboxing -- and subsequent use -- of an official Euro Pro deep fryer. It has but one mission, and it does it well. See for yourself.

Unboxing: The Jimi Wallet

Wallets can be a right pain in the, um, backside. That's why Matt decided to go for something completely different when searching for his next ID/credit card/cash receptacle.

Enter the The Jimi, a compact, translucent and water resistant take on a common piece of personal organization that, frankly, needed a good redesign. Made of 100 percent recycled materials and with some of the proceeds going to help the environment, the JimiX seemed like a reasonable risk to take at a cost of $15.95. Here's a look at what's in the box.

Unboxing: Wii Fit

Among 2008's hottest holiday gifts is this, Nintendo's Wii Fit, the video game that is not a video game, but rather a fitness program disguised as a game.

Sure, Xbox now has Kinect and Sony has that strange ice cream cone controller thingy called, of all things, "Move." But it was Nintendo that really revolutionized the idea of full-body motion gaming that challenged players to get out of their seats. The balance board included with Wii Fit was yet another step in that direction.

So let's go for a stroll in Retroland and take a look at this box's innards, shall we?

Unboxing: Undercover Listening Device

Spies have all the coolest gadgets. Secret agents like James Bond, Inspector Gadget and Ethan Hunt stand out for their gear as much as their unmistakable style. So, naturally, we at It's Unboxed wanted too see what all the fuss is about. However, after a visit to the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C., all we came up with was this odd little box promising an "Undercover Listening Device." Here's what we found inside.

Unboxing: Planters Mixed Nuts

Just how good is a fresh can of Planters Mixed Nuts? Only Mr. Peanut might know. That is, at least until It's Unboxed went and opened up a can of Planters goodness. Here's what we found inside.

Unboxing: GI JOE 25th Anniversary COBRA Legions Box Set

Check out this 25th Anniversary GI Joe COBRA Legions box set with It's Unboxed, as Matt takes apart a package of action figures that probably wasn't meant to be taken apart. But how do these COBRA knockoffs stand up against their 80s counterparts? Let's see, shall we?
